Immunity For The Winter Season
During the winter months your immune system will be challenged by lack of rest, stress, and
cold weather conditions that lead to decreased sunlight and physical activity, as well as
increase in exposure to persons with contagious illness.
With vaccines offering limited protection, as well as being scarce in times of high demand,
we must support our immune systems naturally in order to stay as healthy as possible when
we are most vulnerable.
Three main areas of immune support during these months include exercise, stress
management and nutritional supplementation.  The following is a list of potentially beneficial
vitamins/minerals/herbs/nutrients to help boost immunity:

~Vitamin C                                                ~Probiotics
~Vitamin A                                                ~Essential Fatty Acids
~Vitamin E                                                ~Olive leaf extract
~Beta-Carotene (Mixed Carotenoids)       ~Grape seed extract
~Vitamin B6 & various folates                   ~Andrographis
~Zinc/Copper/Manganese/Selenium         ~DHEA & more...

Although there is no better substitute than nutrients in their natural form, the reality is most
of us do not obtain levels sufficient for immune support on a regular basis.  That being said
we must supplement our diets with some of the above nutrients along with maintaining
appropriate exercise levels, rest, and stress management.
Talk to your health care provider about which nutrients and what dosages would be
appropriate for your individual needs or contact our facility for consultation regarding
immune enhancement.
